Generators are rented in kVA. Your equipment is rated in kW. For almost every diesel set the power factor is 0.8, so usable power is kVA × 0.8.
A 30 kVA set gives about 24 kW. If you actually need 30 kW, you need closer to 40 kVA, not 30.
